The Platform
[플랫폼 ; 역에서 기차를 타고 내리는 곳, 즉 기차 정류장을 의미한다 ]
역에서 기차를 타고 내리는 곳, 즉 기차 정류장이라는 단어 그대로의 의미처럼
복잡하고 지친 일상에서 벗어나 마치 여행을 다니는 듯한 공간을 제공하고자 하였다.
유럽의 어느 한 한가로운 기차역에서
여행의 설레임을 느끼며 여유로운 한잔을 하는 공간을 만들기 위해
오래된 파벽돌과 기차역이 느껴지는 빈티지한 마감재와 간판을 사용하였다.
술잔에 떨어지는 가벼운 음향
공기중에 퍼지는 다채로운 내음
입 안에서의 새로운 맛과 향
천천히 마시는 위스키와 함께
유럽의 어느 한 한가로운 기차역에서 고되고 힘들었던 하루를 마무리하며
편안한 휴식을 취할 수 있는 공간을 선사하고자 하였다.
The Platform
[Platform; a place at a station where passengers board and disembark from trains]
Just as the word suggests—a place where one gets on and off a train
—the space was designed to offer a sense of departure from the noise
and fatigue of everyday life, as if embarking on a quiet journey.
Imagined after a tranquil train station somewhere in Europe,
the space was crafted to evoke the excitement of travel and the pleasure of a leisurely drink.
Vintage finishes and aged brick walls,
reminiscent of old European stations, were used throughout to convey this atmosphere.
The gentle sound of a glass being set down,
the mingling aromas in the air,
the unexpected flavors on the palate—
all slowly unfolding with a sip of whisky.
We sought to create a space where one can unwind from a long and weary day,
just like at a quiet station in Europe—
offering a moment of peaceful rest before the next journey begins.
